Simpson Strong-Tie is celebrating 65 years of being a trusted partner in the construction industry, and much of our success if built on technical expertise, risk-taking innovation, and relentless customer focus.  Many of our top leaders come from engineering backgrounds that served as a strong foundation for becoming leaders in our organization.  I’d like to explore how engineers can best grow their skillset to put them on the path to leadership and management.

Speaker Bio:

Annie Kao, PE serves as Vice President of Engineering for Simpson Strong-Tie and leads a talented and passionate team who innovate, test, and support the most trusted product solutions in the construction industry.  Prior to joining Simpson Strong-Tie, she designed commercial and multi-family projects for a structural engineering consulting firm in Southern California.  She is a registered PE in California and earned her BS from Harvey Mudd College and MS from UC Berkeley
