Talk Name:  COVID Conversations: Transitioning Back to the Engineering Office When You Want (or Need) to Stay Home

Talk Description

Are you a structural engineer working from home who is currently transitioning or will soon transition back to the office?  Are you feeling anxious about returning to the office because you are concerned about getting sick, you have children at home, or simply prefer working from home? Are you concerned that if you push back on returning to work, you’ll find yourself – at best – dealing with the pre-COVID remote worker stigma – or at worst – the first to be furloughed if needed? Are you also wondering about returning to your office or work travel but aren’t sure how to navigate conversations around masks, social distancing, and construction site visits with professionalism?

This presentation will explore the current status of returning to the office, and equip attendees with the tools they need to tackle tough conversations around returning to the office.

To make sure you leave the discussion with real, applicable discussion points relevant to your needs, we invite you to submit questions on the topic by July 21st to [email protected] to be addressed directly during the presentation. The engineer asking the question will remain anonymous for questions submitted in advance. There will also be an opportunity for live Q&A at the end of the presentation.
